The OpenStack mission states: “to produce the ubiquitous Open Source Cloud Computing platform that will meet the needs of public and private clouds regardless of size, by being simple to implement and massively scalable.

OpenStack is open source, openly designed, openly developed by an open community.”

So Open Source harnessed for unlimited possibilities.

I’m not connected to that. Rather, I’m a math educator who works for an OER-related company.  In Education, there is a lot of talk about Open Educational Resources and using Open Source software in schools, but this site will attempt to be musings and work to guide teachers and administrators in that usage – from top to bottom. Specifically, explore how to set up and use:

Classroom Tech: Chromebooks, BreakoutEdu

Curriculum: Geogebra, Desmos, Online tasks (With proper licensing!), Github-type stuff for curriculum repositories and HELL NO to sites like teachers pay teachers.

PD: OER PD courses through Canvas Commons, Open Badges…

Administration: Open Source SIS’s supported by companies? Server software (Linux or GAFE)
